Real Deal Donald: No Surprises

June 11, 2018

Since the moment that Trump announced that he would be running for President of the United States, he made it very clear that he felt the US was on the wrong end of multiple trade deals. Don promised voters that he would rip up the bad deals and create new ones.

He said exactly what he was going to try to do, and how he planned on running the country, the people voted.... Trump won. So it would only make sense that he would try to do all of the things that he said that he would do.

I personally didn't vote for Donald Trump, but I'm fascinated by Don Don and the way he maneuvers. I mean the man said he was going to be President, and next thing you know, he's the damn President. It's kinda funny, but very very serious at the same time.

Trump, the author of "The Art of The Deal", has pulled the US out of multiple deals since taking office. On one of Trump's first days in office he signed an executive order that removed the United States from, in the words of the President, "a bad deal".

BBC  (January 24, 2017) - President Donald Trump has fulfilled a campaign pledge by signing an executive order to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

A little over a month ago, Trump pulled out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, another deal that Trump believed wasn't fair to the United States. Something that he said he would do looooong before he took office.

New York Times (May 8, 2018) - President Trump declared on Tuesday that he was withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, unraveling the signature foreign policy achievement of his predecessor Barack Obama.

The Iran Nuclear Deal wasn't just between the US and Iran, there were multiple countries involved. All of them (not including the US) were supportive of the deal and suggested that the United States remain a part of it. We didn't, but we shouldn't be surprised because Donald said he was going to do this.

Just as recent as a couple of days ago, at the G7 Summit, Trump upset other world leaders AGAIN, by backing out of releasing a joint statement. The G7 (Group of Seven) consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. That statement that Trump wouldn't endorse pretty much said, "fair trade helps us all, and G7 countries will work together to eliminate tariffs between the countries."

Like I said earlier, this is kinda funny and very serious at the same time, so I enjoy it. He claims to be the best deal maker that has ever lived, so I guess we'll see. Throughout all of the entertainment that comes with the 45th President, don't be surprised, this is the real deal Donald Trump, and he's trying to do things exactly the way he said he would.
